Position: Leagues Coordinator

General Overview: The ESSC provides a rare opportunity that so many other ‘Sports Jobs’ do not - each of our staff members have direct impact on our leagues, events and policies, helping to continuously shape and impact Edmonton’s largest co-ed adult sports program. There are no second-stringers on our team!

If you want to play hard and work hard, then this is the place for you. Our office features a dynamic, professional atmosphere that also provides the benefits of working for a small company. Our L.C. will be directly responsible for several crucial facets of league operations and will have a direct impact on our programs on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for someone who wants to play an important role on a small team, and is willing to commit to helping make the ESSC Edmonton’s best sports league!

Positions Available: 1

Start date: Immediately

Completion date: Permanent

Hours: Full-time hours Monday - Friday. Occasional weeknight or weekend work.

Rate of pay: $37,000 - $40,000 annual with bonuses (40-44 hours per week).

Benefits: Employee Health Plan, cell phone program, free league & event play.

Responsibilities:
- Help organize and conduct pre-season meetings for Event Coordinators and/or Team Captains
- Recruit, train and coordinate entire Event Coordinator program (~40 people per season)
- Help organize and run special events

- Aid management in facility bookings and scheduling
- Role model excellent customer service for the office staff
- Process and organize incoming league registrations
- Process incoming scores and update league standings on website (training provided)
- Manage distribution and tracking of player equipment
- Handle and respond to sportsmanship concerns with all of the ESSC leagues
- Develop and proof schedules for leagues
- Edit and update SSC website on a regular basis (full training provided)
- Be an innovative, committed and enthusiastic team player!

Experience:
- University degree
- Post-school full-time work experience preferred
- High level of computer competence
- Leadership experience will be an asset
