General Overview: This is an ideal job for someone who is attempting to start a career in the sport industry. This is an entry level position where the candidate will be involved in many essential areas of the Club. The focus will be administrative tasks (database entry, processing scores, updating standings), equipment distribution, managing league registrations, customer service and assisting our management team on various projects. The successful applicant will also play a large roll in resolving sportsmanship issues and ‘liaisoning’ with the players on a daily basis.

Start date: April 2009
Completion date: September 2009, with opportunity to continue into the Fall if suitable.
Hours: 5 days/week, 35 - 40hrs/wk (Typically Monday- Friday) - Generally 12:00 – 8:00pm
Rate of pay: $14/hour plus bonus

Sport Admin Responsibilities:
- Handle telephone and email inquiries from players or prospects
- Process incoming scores and update league standings on website (training provided)
- Errands and deliveries; including mail, bank, players' equipment, office supplies, etc.
- Manage incoming League and Event registrations
- Manage distribution and tracking of player equipment
- Office and equipment room organization (recycling, cleaning, and organizing)
- Update ESSC player database
- Create league rosters and track distribution to players
- Help organize and manage Special Events
Player Liaison Responsibilities:
- Assist the League Operations Manager and office staff with sportsmanship decisions
- Visit teams/players with sportsmanship issues and report to Club with necessary updates and/or concerns
- Visit outdoor league games on a nightly basis to provide support to players regarding rules and sportsmanship issues (Soccer, Slo-pitch, Kickball, Ultimate, Flag Football)
- Work with Marketing Coordinator to promote special events to the teams
- Assist teams in resolving double booking conflicts when required
- Other responsibilities assigned by the League Managers
