INDIVIDUAL,
FRIEND, SMALL GROUP PLAYER INFORMATION
| How will I get put on a team? All individual
and small group registrations of the same day, division and
sport are placed together to build full teams. This group
of people will play together for the duration of the season.
If, in the event, we receive too many, or too few, of these
type of registrations to complete a full team, we will reveiw
other options. Any singles not placed on a team will be contacted
regarding switching days, divisions or sports. The ESSC will
explore every avenue to make all single registrations work,
if we are unable to do so, you will be fully refunded. |

When do I find out if I
am on a team? All fees must be paid online at the time
of registering in order to be accepted. Although we always
recommend registering as early as possible to help reserve
your spot, we will accept registrations up until the second
week of the season to fill miscellaneous spots. The ESSC
is constantly rearranging single registrations to build
proper teams. All registrants are contacted within 72 hours
of registering regarding their status in the league at that
time. However, the status of singles is subject to change
based on receiving enough registrations to build a team.
Once the teams are finalized, you will be emailed a roster
that will have the contact information for your teammates
(typically 48hours before your first game).
|
| What happens if you are
unable to place me on team? You will be issued a full
refund.
What happens at the first game?
The schedules will be posted to the website ~48 hours prior
to your first game. The ESSC provides basic playing equipment.
Some sports require each player to bring a light and dark
colored shirt to each game, the rules for your sport will
let you know if that is applicable for you. Since it will
be difficult to tell who your teammates are, you will just
need to ask any players as they arrive if they are on your
team. If you have communicated (using the roster you received
for contact information) with each other before the game,
it will be easier to find each other at your playing location!
PLEASE NOTE: Soccer and Slo-Pitch:
The ESSC provides equipment directly to the teams. There
will be a scheduled pick-up time prior to the start of the
season. All singles are expected to attend the meeting which
also hosts equipment distribution, however, only one person
from each singles team (typically the first person to arrive)
will be expected to leave a deposit and pick up equipment.

Rosters:
1. The ESSC will form team rosters based on the number male
to female registrants. For most sports, the ESSC's best-case
scenario is that each team will have two full lines + potentially
1-2 additional players with a ratio of ~ 8-4 male to female
players. The only exception is volleyball where the ESSC forms
teams as follows: 4's teams will have 4-6 players. 6's teams
will have 6-9 players. The reason for the extra players in
all leagues is to prevent defaults. Singles' teams make up
~85% of defaults each season.
2. SMALL GROUP REGISTRANTS: The ESSC determines the final
number of players on each roster. The ESSC is unable, in most
cases, to accommodate specific requests. If you want to control
the number of players added to your group, you will want to
do your own recruiting and register a full team.

|
Skill Levels:
You will register based on your perceived skill level. If
you have not played in our leagues before, please be conservative
regarding your own skill. It is better to be a more skilled
player in a less skilled league than to be in over your
head in a league where you are not skilled enough to compete.
Singles' teams will often see a wide range of skill level
within them. The important thing is to remember why you
are there
. TO HAVE FUN!!!!!!!
