New League Offering - Volley Dodgeball

I know it sounds a little weird, but bear with me, the idea is quite simple. Played on a volleyball court, with volleyballs, the goal is to eliminate each player on the opposite team, similar to dodgeball but by playing volleyball. Each time the ball touches the ground, the last person who touched the ball goes out, when all the players on one team are out, the match is over. If a team scores a volleyball point where no one on the other team touches the ball, then the team who scored the point gets a player back in. A match ends when either all the players on one team are out, or when one team reaches 25 volleyball points, whichever comes first. In addition to Volley Dodgeball, we are also (actually) offering: Beach Dodgeball - With over 160 dodgeball teams in the ESSC the time has finally come to take it to the next level - Beach Dodgeball. Badminton Club - Having trouble finding a partner to put in a Badminton team? Badminton club is the answer. Oilers Reacquire Pronger

Oilers GM Steve Tambellini made a blockbuster announcement today at Rexall...Pronger is back. After leaving the organization, the city, and the fans with a bad taste in their mouths in 2006, Pronger wants to start on a clean slate. "It feels great to be back. I hope all the fans will find it in their hearts to forgive me." In addition to the 2 year/55 million dollar contract, reasons sited for his return include the hot weather and the fact that all of the new faces in the dressing room have really attractive girlfriends.

Richard Simmons To Lead ESSC Boot Camp

Thirty years and 3,000,000 pounds later, Richard Simmons has landed at the ESSC! Whether you want to tone up, lose weight, be stronger or laugh your behind off, GET RESULTS with Richard Simmons and the ESSC Indoor Boot Camp. Classes begin the week of May 9, and will run for 6 weeks. Classes being offered include: Monday and Wednesday mornings at 6:15am, and Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays at 6:30pm. All classes are 1.25 hours long. Locations include, but are not limited to, Emily Murphy, Hawrelak Park, Muttart, and Government House. Register Now!

Happy Trails Jason - Following A Dream

Jason Bridger, Marketing Manager for the ESSC, announced today his leave of absence from the club. "Today is a very exciting day for me” says Jason. “Although I am saddened to leave my fellow ESSC’ers behind, I look forward to spending the next two years of my life following my dream, a gold medal at the 2012 Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.” This transition seemed odd considering Jason’s background in more traditional sports such as hockey. When asked, Jason kept making reference to Hollywood superstar Will Farrell. “The movie Old School really inspired me. To see how Will combined ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation in such a raw performance was moving. I encourage anyone who feels they have the skills and natural good looks to give it a shot!” We at the ESSC wish Jason all the best, good luck in 2012!
