Spring Season Is Here!
 |
The ESSC would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you "Regulars" out there, and all the new players to the 2010 Spring season. Fingers crossed, the weather will soon become as welcoming! For those of you who are new to our leagues, the Scoreboard is a bi-weekly newsletter that is the perfect combination of important league information and random entertainment... as you will soon see. Enjoy! |
Important League Info
 |
Reporting Scores:
Team captains and Event Coordinators (EC's) are responsible for recording scores for sports with no Games Coordinator (GC). To do so go to your specific league's page, click on the reporting tab, and click on Enter Scores. Team captains enter "tc" for user name, and "tcreport" for password. Once you are in, it is a very
straightforward
procedure. All scores must be reported by 5:00pm the day after your game.
|

|
Standings:
To view your team's standings, go to your specific leagues page, and click on the standings page. From there, you simply pick the day and division you play in. NEW FOR SPRING 2010 - click on your team name to view past results from that specific season! |
|
|
Weather Policy:
Game cancellations are updated no later than 5:00 PM on game day (Monday-Thursday). Please do not call the office prior to this time for any weather-related inquiry – as soon as we have a decision, we will post it!
The office is closed on Saturdays & Sundays; on these days players are to check the City of Edmonton website; if fields are closed, games are cancelled. If fields are open, the Rain or Shine policy applies. |

We Are Hiring - Do you have what it takes?
 |
|
Hello Spring Players, welcome to our biggest, and what I expect to be our best season ever. We are currently hosting about 9,000 Edmontonians in our Spring leagues.
As some of you may have already noticed, we are still accepting applications for the Manager of League Operations (M.L.O.) position. I have close to 100 applications to date, but after screening all of them and doing quite a few interviews, we just haven’t yet found the right person for the position.
I am looking for a committed, intelligent and highly motivated leader who is interested in working closely with myself and the Edmonton and Calgary M.L.Os to further grow and develop our organization. The successful applicant with be tasked with a lot of responsibility but will enjoy a lot of independence and skill development on a daily basis. This is one of the most rewarding positions that the ESSC has to offer. |
If you are interested in applying for the position or for further information – click here.
Best Regards,
Lori Krause

Sport A Mullet This Spring
Mullets have always had a storied history in sports! Sadly, over the years it has become an endangered hairstyle but with your help we can bring it back!
Can't decide between short or long hair? You have options, my friend:
- Classic 70’s Mullet: Part your hair through the center and feather it back. If it won't feather naturally, you may want to consider a perm. ESSC Tip: to show off that earring in your left earlobe, cut your hair so that half of your ear is exposed.
- Skullet: This involves shaving your entire head while leaving a ‘mud flap’ or ‘ape drape’ in the back.
- Punk Mullet: This involves getting your hair cut so it spikes up on top. You'll need plenty of gel to get the spiked look.
Already Have a Mullet? Here are some helpful tips:
- Accessorize: Consider growing a mullestach! This will give you a tough guy no-nonsense look.
- Family Bonding: Consider getting a father-son mullet.
- Dread Your Mullet: BIG WITH THE LADIES.
