Floor Hockey Tournament Information

The first ever Hockey Tournament took place in May and was a huge success. With some great feedback from our players, the second round will certainly be bigger and better!

Gyms: West Edmonton Christian Assembly .

Time: The tourney will tentatively take place between 9am and 5pm. Every team will be guaranteed at least 4 games throughout the day.

Cost: $250 if you are signing up a full team. $35 if you are signing up as an individual.

Who Can Play: Anyone 18+ can play in our tournaments and you do not have to play in our sports leagues to be eligible. We are offering Recreational, Recreational Plus and Intermediate divisions. This is a co-ed event, so there must be a minimum of 1 female on the floor at all times (not including the goalie).

Will there be Games Coordinators: Yes, there will be an official Games Coordinator on site. They will help facilitate games and keep everyone organized. Players will be responsible for officiating their own games.

Format/Rules: For this tourney, it will be 3 versus 3 plus a goalie. The rules will be the same as our regular Floor Hockey league rulebook. Teams must demonstrate a fun-first, winning-second attitude and ‘Spirit Points’ will be incorporated into the standings. There will be a zero tolerance policy for teams with poor sportsmanship.

After Party: The official post-tourney party will be held at Players Sports Bar, one of our official Sponsor Bars. There will be exclusive ESSC food and drink specials, door prizes, games and the champ’s presentations. Remember to book off the Saturday night to hook up with your teammates and get to know other ESSC members.
