The Edmonton Sport & Social Club strives to be community minded
and to support local, national and international charities. Whether
the ESSC is directly donating to a charity through fundraisers,
team fee and equipment donations or by sponsoring a ESSC member
in their quest to raise money, the ESSC is committed to giving
something back to the community.
In 2006, the ESSC introduced a Team Fee Donation Program, where
an amount of every team fee collected will be donated on behalf
of the team to a local charity selected by the ESSC.
Looking for support from the ESSC for your
charity event? Please send an email to
lori@edmontonsportsclub.com.
There are 3 types of donations that the ESSC can make. Within
each type, we have an annual budget on what we can spend. When
submitting your application, please refer to the option that
best suits your needs.
1. For ESSC players: you are a participant in our Leagues or
Special Events and you are raising money for a good cause (i.e.
for a charity; not a new beer cooler for your team!). You are
looking for a one time donation to reach your fund raising target.
We’ll help if we can! Donations range up to $200 (cash or product).
2. Local charity seeks one time donation: you heard about us
through the grapevine and believe that your charity is a good
fit with our core values and mission statement. Tell us about
your cause and what you’d like from us. Donations range up to
$200 (cash or product).
3. Long term, ongoing partnership: you would like to establish
an ongoing relationship with the ESSC where we can support your
charity for the long run. Let’s talk! Donations will be negotiated
based on each opportunity.
