Responsibilities & Qualifications

Our Events Team (ET) positions are part-time, flexible roles at the Club. Being on the Events Team is an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of Tournaments & Events, learning how to plan for and run events of all sizes with the Club. The Events Team role is primarily out-of-office, with some in-office meetings and work throughout each month. Applicants should have a specific interest in promotions and/or events, strong people skills and a desire to meet new people.

Positions Available: 2

Start Date: February 2023

Hours: Part-Time Hours (15-30 Hours/Month), primarily in the evenings and on weekends.

Event Team Responsibilities

  • Tournaments & Events
    • Execute Tournaments & Events from the ground-up, inclusive of:
      • Setup
      • Team Check-In
      • Morning Announcements
      • Tournament Standings
      • Beer Garden Management
      • Champ Prizing Allocation
      • Take Down
      • Events Team members will work with a small team at all Tournaments & Events to execute all tasks.
    • Highlight ESSC Tournaments & Events on SSC social media.
    • Socialize and build rapport with players/participants.
    • Liaise with and ensure onsite Sponsors have all the materials they need to activate. 
    • Complete Post-Tournament & Event reviews.
  • Tradeshows
    • Promote the ESSC at various Tradeshows and Wellness events around Edmonton.
    • This includes setup and take down duties, as well as transport of materials to/from the event.
    • The ET will generate leads for the Club through ballot collection and earn commission on each ballot they collect.
  • In-Office
    • Assist with Tournament & Event prep, as needed, inclusive of creating team tote bags, packing all materials, and unloading at the facility.
    • Attend bi-weekly meetings with your supervisor (combination of in-person and virtual).

Compensation Package

Rate of Pay:

  • Starting Wage: $18/Hour*
  • Annual Raise Opportunities
