Staff Testimonial and ESSC Culture

Overview:
The SSC culture (Edmonton and Calgary offices), is a performance-oriented environment. We place a strong emphasis on hiring exceptional people and giving them all of the support that they need to excel in their roles. New staff are given strong guidance and nurturance, but are encouraged to gain freedom through commitment and results. Weekly goal setting meetings with their manager helps each staff member to create and execute a plan for success. Ongoing skill development sessions aid in increasing all employees effectiveness in their roles. We also like to have fun: frequent staff outings, our innovations program, out of town trips to Banff, Sylvan Lake, Calgary, etc. are a few examples of our work hard, play hard mentality.

A note from our Current Customer Service and Admin Specialist (Megan):

How do I sum up my experience with the ESSC in just a few paragraphs? It’s a tough task. The team at the SSC has developed an incredible environment of growth, focus, hard work, and team spirit. We truly embody our “work hard, play hard” motto.

The management here is friendly and supportive. They are constantly keeping their staff fulfilled and challenged in all of our tasks. My experience with the SSC has already helped me to grow my confidence in many areas. They set a high standard, but always provide enough support for us to reach our goals.

My favorite things about working here are tough to nail down because I love so many parts. Some of the highlights are:

#1 - Being the first point of contact for our players. Helping players get the answers they are looking for or suggesting an even better option is very satisfying.

#2 - Working with the other staff here to provide the best overall experience for our players is also very fulfilling. We put a high level of focus on working together to get any task accomplished with pride because how you do anything is how you do everything.
#3 – Tackling new and exciting projects to improve the club is a great opportunity to truly see your hard work pay off.

There are many other parts of this job I enjoy, but they are too numerous to count.

I am very excited to meet our new CSAS and welcome them to this amazing team!
