Hello again everyone! Welcome to Part Deux of how scores are calculated in Mulit-Sport! As mentioned in Part Un, Multi-Sport has to account for the different sports that are played each week to make sure team’s scores aren’t skewed from one week. In this article we are going to break down the calculating of scores for our Multi-Sport 2’s Indoor Sports.

The sports and scoring system for each indoor 2’s sport are as follows:

Badminton – Regular scoring. First 2 games play up to 21, with the third game played up to 15. The winner of the match is the team that wins 2 out of the 3 games but the total amount of points are taken into account when determining point differential.

Pickleball – Regular scoring. First 2 games play up to 15, with the third game is played up to 11. The winner of the match is the team that wins 2 out of the 3 games but the total amount of points are taken into account when determining point differential.

Bowling – Our lone factoring sport in the Multi-Sport 2’s Indoor lineup. The total of the 2 player’s scores is factored (divided) by 10. The team with the higher number is deemed the winner with the factored scores taken into account when determining point differential.

Laser Tag – The total of the 2 player’s scores is a team’s overall score. All of the team’s scores are matched up against each other and the teams who are in the top half of the scores are assigned a 1-0 win. The teams who are in the bottom half of the scores are assigned a 1-0 loss.

Wallyball – Regular scoring. First 2 games play up to 25, with the third game played up to 15. The winner of the match is the team that wins 2 out of the 3 games but the total amount of points are taken into account when determining point differential.

Squash – Regular scoring. There will be 5 games played up to 11 points. The winner of the match is the team that wins 3 out of the 5 games but the total amount of points are taken into account when determining point differential.

Indoor Tennis – Standard tennis scoring would apply with game points being achieved in the following order: 15, 30, 40, Game. The first team to win 6 games is determined the winner. The amount of games won is taken into account when calculating point differential.

We hope that this article can help you better understand how our scoring system works for our Indoor Multi Sport 2 sports. If it still seems a bit confusing please bear with us as we are still working through and trying to develop the best scoring method for this new offering.
