Squash players are not only athletic, coordinated and look good in goggles, but they also have the extra responsibility of submitting their scores each week. Squash is unique as it is our only indoor sport where players take on this added responsibility; and we appreciate them for it!

Unfortunately for your beloved Sport Manager, Squash scores are often submitted incorrectly, missing required default notes or not submitted at all! *GASP. When scores are not submitted, your beloved Sport Manager has to reach out to both teams to get these scores. Not only does this take time away from your beloved Sport Manager’s busy day, but it also delays when standings can be updated, defaults can be followed-up with and playoff schedules can be posted. Here are some helpful tips to help you Squash Your Scores for the rest of the season!

  1. Keep Track of Your Points! You can do this by printing off the Squash Score Sheet or keeping track using your phone. Remember to keep track of all points since this may come into play as tie-breakers.
  2. Click the Right Link: On the Squash homepage, look to the right-hand side and click Report Scores.
  3. Submitting: Make sure you do not use your MyESSC login (it will not work!). You have to use the Username and Password that your beloved Sport Manager emailed you at the beginning of the season. If you need this login again please let us know!
  4. Default Comments: Oh no! You were defaulted against! Make sure to check off the default box in all matches you were defaulted against and write comments indicating if you are charging the fee or not. Need more information on defaults? Click Here.
  5. Subs: Subs are not given instructions for submitting scores. If you are unable to make it to your matches but find a sub, great! Just make sure you get the scores from that sub so you can still submit them on time.
  6. Talk to Your Opponents: At the end of your matches, discuss who will be submitting the scores with your opponents. It is usually the job of the winning team, but who submits them if each team won two matches?

Submitting scores is very important and your beloved Sport Manager loves when all scores are submitted without requiring further follow-up. Why not make your Sport Manager’s day by getting those scores in?

If you ever have questions about submitting your Squash scores, please do not hesitate to contact your beloved Sport Manager at megank@edmontonsportsclub.com.
