There are lots of reasons to love Street Hockey. In a different article, we highlighted those reasons, which include but are not limited to the following: games are always played out of a full-size outdoor rink, no stick restrictions, hockey gloves are allowed, and it’s just so nostalgic. Another wonderful reason to consider Street Hockey as your sport of choice is (as the title would suggest) is the low fee.
Whether you’re registering as a full team, group, or individual, the cost of Street Hockey is pretty tough to beat. Our Street Hockey leagues are 8 weeks in duration, include Games Coordinators, as well as all other aspects of equipment you’d expect in our 3 on 3, Standard, and Premium leagues. Nonetheless, we are happy to be able to offer this leagues for the following amount:
- Full Team: $500
- Group (5-8 players): $90/each
- Individual: $105
So let’s say for example you registered a full team with 10 players, your personal per game cost would be $6.25. Amazing. Group registrants will be looking at $11.25 while Individual registrants will come in at $13.12 per game. As with every sport offering, group and individual registrations are slightly higher as there is considerably more administration involved in creating and maintaining Individuals Teams. Still a great deal when you cross reference with some of our other leagues, or other sporting options in general.
Consider the cost of alternatives such as golfing, ice hockey, curling, equestrian, polo, sailing, bobsledding, hot air balloon racing…we’re beginning to get carried away here but you get our point.
You can also start to spend some time thinking on what you’ll do with your extra coin; which is always a fun game to play because you can go in so many different directions. You could go the boring route and stick it in your savings account, earn some brownie points and buy your significant other an unexpected gift or you could grab a Connor McDavid jersey so you look totally legit strutting around Rexall Place.
