Many Canadians grew up playing street hockey…Every. Single. Day. I know people that claim to have played 365 days in a row. No matter the weather, they were out there playing. Whether you were the sniper, the dangler, the goon, or forced to be the goalie, playing street hockey with your pals was always a great time.
Well, we have some good news for you; you can still play Street Hockey! The rules are a bit different, and so is the size of the players, but the memories and fun are still very much there. Take advantage of the fresh air and warm weather during the Summer months, get together with your buddies and re-live your childhood!
When compared to our regular Floor Hockey leagues, Street Hockey is a little different (other than the fact that it’s outside). You are allowed to wear gloves, use any stick you want, and all games are played on outdoor rinks with boards and lights. Some of our facilities even have dressing rooms!
So, if you are still holding on to your glory days playing out on the street with your pals, or if you’re just looking for something new to play, give Street Hockey a try. Sorry; you won’t be able to yell ‘CAR!’ though…
