GC of the Season Awards

Games Coordinators are essential to ESSC leagues and play a huge role in ensuring that all players enjoy themselves each and every night. The ESSC GC Team is continuously growing and although there are many excellent members out at the games, each season the Club recognizes a select few with the GC of the Season Award.

Each winner is nominated through player submissions, ESSC Staff recommendations, and/or based off the Field Staff Manager and GC Head Trainer evaluations. The goal is to award those that display a positive and friendly attitude, while at the same time getting involved with the games and providing players with the best experience possible.

Games Coordinator Bio

Max Dufour - Dodgeball

Sports: Dodgeball

Rookie Season: Winter 2022

Hey folks! My name is Max. I'm a pretty active guy who loves spending time outdoors / playing sports. I've played many sports with the ESSC since 2020, including slow-pitch, beach volleyball, tennis, multi-sport and many more. I've always enjoyed my experience and decided to start GCing almost two years ago now, something I plan to continue doing in the future because it is such a positive experience! I've created good bonds with tons of players/teams and was always happy to show up to chat with them and to do my job as a GC. Anyone with an interest in sports and a desire to meet new people should look into being a GC with the ESSC - it really is an awesome job. Stay active folks :)

Michael Chamberlin - Basketball

Sports: Basketball, MTS

Rookie Season: Fall 2022

Firstly thanks for the GC of the season recognition, it’s been a blast working for you and the others in the ESSC for the last few months.

Thrizhelle "LaLa" Saluna - MTS

Sports: MTS

Rookie Season: Spring 2023

I began my journey as a GC this year in May and I have been enjoying every moment of it. I chose to be a GC due to an injury that prevents me from playing, and being in this position allows me to be part of that fun and competitive team spirit. When I am not playing, I either watch sports (mostly basketball, both the WNBA and NBA) or find other ways to be active (going to the gym or walking). I have been a fan of sports all my life, you can put me in any court or field and I will do them well, whether I am an expert at it or not. Overall, I am grateful to be a GC and for the experience, I am receiving. It is a job that doesn’t feel like work and it is a wonderful community!

Sebastian Wilczynski -Outdoor Soccer

Sports: Soccer

Rookie Season: Fall 2022

I have been a GC with the ESSC since the Fall of 2022, calling indoor and outdoor soccer games for the club, and have been playing soccer with ESSC since 2020. I am honored to be chosen as GC of the season for Spring of 2023, and I feel that the award is a reflection on the staff and players who have guided me to be the best I can, each game I call. The best part about being a GC is that it truly doesn’t feel like work, I get to watch and interact with so many awesome people each time I am on the pitch! When I am not at work or on the field, I enjoy playing with my cat and dog, riding my motorbike around town, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to more great seasons ahead, and creating many lasting memories!

Mackenzie Liss - Gym Soccer

Sports: Soccer, MTS

Rookie Season: Spring 2023

Spring was my rookie season with the ESSC and I was not sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it. I played a ton of competitive soccer and reffing soccer and multi-sport was a fun no stress way to get back into it. I have played competitive sports my whole life and coming into the ESSC and being part of the fun and passion people have for these sports is super great and I’m excited to see what the summer season brings, hopefully some good fun in the nice weather!!
