Game Format
- All Outdoor Soccer Leagues are single-opponent; teams will play one game per week.
- All Outdoor Soccer Leagues are self-officiated, unless indicated as using a Games Coordinator (GC).
- Standard Outdoor Soccer and Fall Premium Soccer League field bookings are 1.5 hours in length.
- Games consist of two 40-minute halves, with a 10-minute half time.
- In the regular season, ties are allowed. There will be no overtime or shoot-outs.
- Spring and Summer Premium Outdoor Soccer League field bookings are 1 hour in length.
- Games consist of two 25-minute halves, with a 5-minute half time.

Season Length
- All 8 Week Outdoor Soccer Leagues use the following structure:
- 6 weeks of regular season games.*
- 2 weeks of playoff games.
- All 16 Week Outdoor Soccer Leagues use the following structure:
- 13 weeks of seeding / regular season games (seeding round is dependent on the number of teams registered).
- 3 weeks of playoff games.
- All 5 Week (Fall) Outdoor Soccer Leagues use the following structure:
- 4 regular season games.**
- 1 week of playoffs.
- In cases where rain-outs occur, games are made up via double-headers or season extensions (1-2 weeks).
- Games are always played on the Monday of long weekend's.
* Summer Sunday League Only: All teams will have a scheduled double-header during the regular season. The 6 regular season games will take place over 5 weeks.
** Fall Leagues: Teams will have a scheduled double-header. The 4 regular season games will take place over 3 weeks.
Playoffs
- Playoff Format: Spring / Summer (8 Week)
- All teams are guaranteed 2 playoff games.
- Only the Top 4 teams will compete for the League Championship.
- Playoff Format: Spring / Summer (16 Week)
- All teams are guaranteed 3 playoff games.
- The Top 8 teams will compete for the League Championship.
- Playoff Format: Fall (5 Week)
- All teams are guaranteed 1 playoff game.
- Only the Top 2 teams will compete for the League Championship.
- League champs will receive t-shirts that can be picked up from the Season-end Party.
- There are no ties in playoffs.
- If the score is tied at the end of regulation time, penalty kicks will be taken:
- 5 players from each team will alternate shots from the penalty-mark at one end of the field.
- The initial 5 players will have a three male maximum.
- If the score is still tied after the initial round of penalty kicks, the penalty kicks will continue in sudden-death fashion:
- The shooting team must alternate males and females.
- A player is not allowed to take a second shot if there are players on his/her team of the same gender that have not yet shot.
- Both teams must shoot in the sudden-death round, the team shooting first does not win if they score.
- 5 players from each team will alternate shots from the penalty-mark at one end of the field.
- If the score is tied at the end of regulation time, penalty kicks will be taken:

- When registering a full team, there is no limit to the maximum number of players you can have on the roster.
- Prior to the first game of the season, teams must have the total number of players required on the field (in the above chart) confirmed on the roster in MyESSC.
- If the minimum amount of confirmed roster players is not met, the team will receive a loss for every game played until the requirement is met.
- Minimum female requirements are inclusive of anyone who identifies as female (i.e. players who identify as M or X do not count towards F minimums).
- Prior to the first playoff game, teams must have all players who are playing in the playoff game(s) displayed as part of the confirmed roster in MyESSC.
- If this requirement is not met, teams will receive an automatic loss and will not be eligible for the championship.
