Game Format
- Doubles - Teams will play 4 matches per night (each player will play 2 singles matches; one match against each member of the opposition).
- All Squash Leagues are self-officiated.
- All court bookings are 1 hour in length.
- Each match will be 30 minutes in length.
- Matches are a best of 5 games. The player who wins the most games during the allotted match time wins the match.
- Games are rally point scoring up to 11 points. Players do not have to win by more than 1 point.
- If the game score is tied when time is called, players will play one more point to decide the winner.
- If both players have won the same amount of games when time expires, the match will end in a tie.
- Matches are a best of 5 games. The player who wins the most games during the allotted match time wins the match.
- Each match will be 30 minutes in length.
Season Length
- All 9 Week Squash Leagues use the following structure:
- 7 weeks of regular season games (28 total matches).
- 2 weeks of playoff games.
- There may be instances where byes are scheduled due to facility availability, meaning the season may be played over 9-12 total weeks.
- In rare cases, games may be played on Long Weekends or Holidays.
Playoffs
- Playoff Format:
- All teams are guaranteed 2 weeks of playoffs.
- Only the top 4 teams will compete for the League Championship.
- League champs will receive t-shirts that can be picked up from the Season-end Party.
- There are no ties in playoffs.
- If both teams win two matches during a playoff week the following tiebreakers will apply:
- 1st Tiebreaker: Differential of games won vs. games lost.
- 2nd Tiebreaker: Differential of points scored vs. points allowed.
- 3rd Tiebreaker: Each team chooses one player to play a tie break game to 5 points.

- When registering a full team, there is no limit to the maximum number of players you can have on the roster.
- Prior to the first game of the season, teams must have 2 player's confirmed on the roster in MyESSC. This number is equal to the total number of players required on the court in the above chart.
- If the minimum amount of confirmed roster players is not met, the team will receive a loss for every game played until the requirement is met.
- Minimum female requirements are inclusive of anyone who identifies as female (i.e. players who identify as M or X do not count towards F minimums).
- Prior to the first playoff game, teams must have all players who are playing in the playoff game(s) displayed as part of the confirmed roster in MyESSC.
- If this requirement is not met, teams will receive an automatic loss and will not be eligible for the championship.
