Summer 2020 COVID-19 Game Format

  • Leagues are single opponent; teams will play one game per week.
  • Ultimate Leagues use an Event Coordinator (EC).
  • Ultimate Leagues are self-officiated.
  • All field bookings are 1.5 hours in length.
    • Games consist of two 35 minute halves, with a 10 minute half time.
    • ​If the game is tied after regulation, it will be considered a tie, no extra time is played.

Summer 2020 COVID-19 Season Length

  • The Summer 2020 league will use the following structure:
    • 6 weeks of regular season games.*
    • 2 weeks of playoff games.
       
  • In cases where rain-outs occur, games are made up via double-headers or season extensions (1-2 weeks).
  • Games are always played on the Monday of long weekends.

  • Playoff Format:
    • All teams are guaranteed 2 playoff games.
    • Only the top 4 teams will compete for the League Championship.

  • When registering a full team, there is no limit to the maximum number of players that can be on the roster.
    • Summer 2020 COVID-19 Exception: Rosters will be capped at 12 to align with mini-league Government guidelines
  • Prior to the first game of the season, teams must have the total number of players required on the field (in the above chart) confirmed on the roster in MyESSC.
    • If the minimum amount of confirmed roster players is not met, the team will receive a loss for every game played until the requirement is met.
    • Minimum female requirements are inclusive of anyone who identifies as female (i.e. players who identify as M or X do not count towards F minimums).
  • Prior to the first playoff game, teams must have all players who are playing in the playoff game(s) displayed as part of the confirmed roster in MyESSC.
    • If this requirement is not met, teams will receive an automatic loss and will not be eligible for the championship.
