Sno-Pitch

Can’t wait for Spring to hit the ball diamond? ‘Sno problem.

Bundle up because there's no better way to spend a Saturday than playing in a co-ed Sno-Pitch Tournament during the cool, but not too cool, months. Get a few more games in before we go into Winter hibernation and join us in the onsite beer gardens between games for music, movies, yard games, and more.

Approx. Times

  • 8:00am to 7:00pm

Official times will be sent to teams no later than 5:00pm on Thursday the week of the event

Format / Roster

  • Divisions: Recreational

  • Guaranteed at least 3 games

  • Games consist of 5 innings with a 60-minute time limit and batters begin each at-bat with a 1 and 1 count

  • Teams will be given no-sting balls to use throughout the day

  • Playoffs are single elimination

  • Teams are required to have 10 players (minimum of 3 females)

  • All participants must be 18+ years old

The Fun

  • The party goes all day at the onsite beer gardens, so stick around in between games and enjoy a drink!

  • We'll keep warm during the day at the onsite hall with music, movies, yard games and more!

  • Championship prizing and MVP medal presentations will be awarded immediately after the tournament.

Cancellation Policy: Please contact the ESSC office no later than Friday the week before the event to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be given after this point.

Worried About the Weather: If the forecast is below -10 degrees Celsius, the event will be rescheduled. Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing. There is a large indoor (heated) space for teams to warm-up, eat, drink, and be merry in-between games.

PLEASE NOTE: The City of Edmonton reserves the right to close down their diamonds if they feel that weather may be hazardous to players or that it could damage the diamonds and/or fields. Team Captains will be kept updated in the days leading up to the event and will be notified immediately if this is the case. If issues occur prior to the event, all teams will receive full refunds.
