Being a Team Captain is Easy!
Team captains are responsible for:
Being the main point of contact for ESSC correspondence and ensuring that their teammates are receiving updates
Responding to all ESSC communications about schedule changes, defaults, sportsmanship and other requests
Leading by example and encouraging their teammates to play with a fun-first, winning-second mentality
Liaising with the onsite Coordinator (when applicable) and the other Team Captain during the game
Submitting a sportsmanship rating for their opponent based on their teammates’ input
Confirming scores with Coordinators at the game or reporting scores online
