Team Captains

Being a Team Captain is Easy!

Team captains are responsible for:

  • Being the main point of contact for ESSC correspondence and ensuring that their teammates are receiving updates

  • Responding to all ESSC communications about schedule changes, defaults, sportsmanship and other requests

  • Leading by example and encouraging their teammates to play with a fun-first, winning-second mentality

  • Liaising with the onsite Coordinator (when applicable) and the other Team Captain during the game

  • Submitting a sportsmanship rating for their opponent based on their teammates’ input

  • Confirming scores with Coordinators at the game or reporting scores online
