Team Name Policy

Each team registered with the SSC is responsible for ensuring their team name and/or logo is neither inappropriate nor derogatory in a way that may offend spectators, opposing teams, GCs, ECs or facility staff etc.

As a general rule of thumb, please do not include swear words, racial slurs or blatant sexual references in your team name.

If the SSC deems your team name, team logo, or any nickname used as inappropriate, you will be required to change it before or during the season. The same rules apply if we receive a complaint part way through the season due to your team name and/or logo. Minor complaints will result in a warning letter being sent to the team and a new name will be required. Any complaints that result in major repercussions for the SSC will result in a $100 fine and ejection from the league.
