Was your childhood dream to be drafted in the NBA?! Like many of us, being chosen for a professional sports team was all we thought about during math class. Cameras flashing, the crowd cheering your name, and shaking hands with the General Manager would have been all too sweet!
While our Draft may not be quite as glamourous, we are love this offering. If you are new to the city, played Basketball when you were younger, want to get out to meet new people, or looking for some cardio without hitting the gym - whatever the reason, the Draft League is the right choice for you.
Here’s how it works:
- Every team in the league is an Individuals Team comprised of other individual registrants (max. groups of 3). One of the benefits is that you don’t need to worry about playing against full teams that have been playing together for many years who can borderline read each other’s minds while playing ball!
- The Club will work with the registrants to select team captains. Players that are interested in being a draft player team captain are welcome to indicate that in their registration.
- The captains arrive early to the pre-season draft party and their role is to make team selections and work with our staff to ensure that player skill levels are as evenly balanced as possible on each of the teams.
- At the Pre-Season Party, the rosters are announced, players get to meet with their teammates and opponents, and enjoy some great food and drink together.
